Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP has announced that it has hired three finance partners in Asia. Joseph Kim or LAtham & Watkins and David Vance of Baker & McKenzie will join the firm’s Tokyo office, and Patricia Tan Openshaw of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom will join the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has announced that a group from DLA Piper will join its Beijing office. The group is led by corporate partner Janet Jie Tang and she is joined by three transactions associates, Lu Ning, Wang Yuanming, and Zeng Linyan. Akin Gump hopes that these additions will broaden the range of services available to their Chinese clients.

New York-based LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae has opened a Hong Kong office to serve as a hub for the firm’s Asian practices. Daniel Liew, formerly a parter with Simmons & Simmons, and Bill Marcoux, an insurance Partner out of London, will head the branch’s ten attorneys. Paul Chen from New York will join them later this year with several associates; LeBoeuf Lamb hopes to double the number of attorneys in Hong Kong by the end of the year.
