DLA Piper announces today the appointment of Ying Wang, who has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Employment, Pensions and Benefits group. Ying Wang is based in the firm’s Shanghai office and is part of the firm’s Greater China team.
Ying has over ten years’ experience in employment and labour law practice in PRC. She has advised on a number of PRC labour and social insurance regulatory matters and has solid experience in the development of human resources documents as well as day-to-day labour issues. She has represented and advised various foreign and domestic companies in relation to labour arbitration/litigation cases and has provided advice to help clients settle labour dispute matters.
Prior to joining DLA Piper, Ying worked at a large PRC firm which she joined in 2006. She received her law degree from the Fudan University, PRC. Ying is PRC qualified and has also obtained a Labour Dispute Arbitrator Certificate from the Ministry of Labour & Social Security and a Labour Law Consultant Certificate from the Shanghai Bureau of Labour & Social Security. Since 2004, Ying has served as a part-time labour dispute arbitrator of Shanghai Pudong Labour Dispute Arbitration Committee.

DLA Piper’s EPB group has been expanding rapidly across Asia Pacific. In addition to the appointment of Ying Wang, DLA Piper also announced the joining of partner Murray Procter to its Brisbane office in Australia and senior associate Rosamund Browne to its Hong Kong office earlier this year.
