On August 6, 2011, an opening ceremony was held in Washington DC to celebrate the opening of the DC office of Deheng. Presented at the ceremony were Ms. Yonglan Li, head of the US business team of Deheng and director of the DC office, Mr. Sen Liu, attorney representative of the DC office, and Ms. Shan Luan, administrative assistant of the DC office.
In March, 2009, Mr. Jiqing Liu, former Chief Representative of the China office of Baker & Daniels joined Deheng serving as the director of the International Practice. During the next two years, the American and European businesses of the firm have been growing rapidly and the partners’ meeting decided in April, 2011 to set up an office in the US and made a three-year strategic development plan for the DC office. Mr. Liu will oversees the development of the DC office. The opening of the DC office will significantly enhance the international practice of the firm.
Deheng’s DC office is located at the center of the capital city and is adjacent to the White House, the World Bank and George Washington University.
