In a deal valued at up to US$175 million, Stamford Law is representing Indonesia’s Affinity Group in its proposed acquisition by Singapore mobile Internet company, Spice i2i Ltd (“Spice”).
The Affinity Group is one of Indonesia’s largest mobile handset players with one of the largest distribution networks for mobile handsets, accessories and talktime minutes in Indonesia. Apart from distributing international brands, it also owns/distributes “Nexian”, one of the leading Indonesian handset brands.
The deal also incorporates incentives for Affinity Group’s existing key management team to be retained post-acquisition.
