Eugene Lai Joins Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP in Hong Kong

The law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP is pleased to announce that Eugene Lai has joined the firm as a partner. Lai will base his practice in Edwards Wildman’s associated Hong Kong office, Lister Lo Lui & Choy.

Lai will add a critical capital markets component to the firm’s growing office, which complements the current group of partners, including John Lo and Kenneth Choy, who joined the firm in January 2011. In addition, Andrew Lui joined the firm as a partner in August 2010.

Lai focuses his practice on corporate finance, securities and energy law in Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). He specializes in IPOs, dual listings, debt securities, chapter 21 of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing rules, mergers and acquisitions, as well as inbound and outbound PRC acquisitions with multinational companies.

Lai is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and Hong Kong. Lai joins Edwards Wildman from Li & Partners, where he was a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. Lai is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
