Orrick Further Expands China Corporate Group with Partner in Shanghai

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP announced today that Jeffrey Sun Jie has joined the firm as a partner in the China Corporate Group, based in the firm’s Shanghai office.

With nearly a decade of experience in representing Chinese and multinational companies from multiple industries, including consumer, retail, financial services, life sciences, renewable energy and technology, Mr. Sun’s practice focuses on capital markets, private equity investments, cross-border mergers & acquisitions and foreign direct investment financing transactions.

Mr. Sun received his LL.B from Fudan University, Shanghai and his LL.M from Columbia University School of Law, where he graduated as a James Kent Scholar. He holds a Chinese Lawyer’s Qualification Certificate and is admitted to the New York Bar.

Prior to joining Orrick, Mr. Sun worked with a major international law firm and he was a former partner in a local law firm based in Shanghai.
