RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has brought to its ranks two new Partner hires, together with their support teams– veteran shipping lawyer Mr Govindarajalu Asokan, and general litigation lawyer Ms Mimi Oh, in a move to strengthen her Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.
Mr Asokan joins RHTLaw Taylor Wessing as a Partner. Widely regarded as a leader in Admiralty and Shipping Law, Govind brings with him, 33 years of experience in commercial and shipping litigation, arbitration, insurance, tax, banking, domestic and international business transactions. He has published numerous papers on a variety of topics such as marine insurance fraud, powers of arbitrators, oil pollution, banking secrecy, product liability and tax benefits of Singapore-registered vessels. He was also conferred the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat, PBM) in 2004.
Ms Oh, who has 18 years of practising experience, joins as a Partner for RHTLaw Taylor Wessing. Prior to this, she ran her own practice under the name of Mimi Oh & Associates. Her main areas of practice include general litigation, alternative dispute resolution and commercial arbitration. Throughout her career, she has dealt with disputes from various perspectives, worked on matters involving employment, matrimonial, civil, criminal, construction and insolvency, and represented a vast range of clientele including individuals, corporate bodies, management corporations, developers, contractors and professionals, and the Law Society of Singapore.
With them on board, RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has a total of 31 Partners, 2 Consultants and 27 Associates and Legal Managers.
