Appleby Advised PC Partner Group Limited in Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listing

Appleby acted as Cayman counsel for PC Partner Group Limited  in relation to its listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 12 January 2012.

The gross proceeds of the listing totalled approximately HK$168 million.

The Appleby team was led by Judy Lee, a Corporate Partner in Appleby’s Hong Kong office, assisted by Associate Chris Cheng. Hong Kong counsels were Woo Kwan Lee & Lo for PC Partner group Limited (“PC Partner”)and Reed Smith Richards Butler for the sponsor and underwriters. Guantao Law Firm also advised PC Partner as to PRC law.

PC Partner is a leading manufacturer of computer electronics, which is now among the major manufacturers of video graphics cards. Their key products include video graphics cards, motherboards, mini-PCs and is also one of the Hong Kong’s electronics company offering electronic manufacturing services to reputable brands all over the world.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering on the expansion of the Group’s Surface Mount Technlogy (“SMT”) production capacity and efficiency by acquiring SMT machineries, equipment and relevant technology, on the promotion and development of new products for brand building, on the research and development of peripheral products for mobile computing devices and future generations of mini-PC, and on the upgrade of the existing Enterprise Resource Planning system and information technology resources.

This public offering will strengthen PC Partner’s brand image, expanding the market potential of their brands. In the near future, they will actively look to develop new business opportunities, striving to become a leading corporate in the mini PCs and electronic manufacturing services businesses.
