International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Roche Diagnostics GmbH on a manufacturing and supply agreement for a novel integrated tape cassette blood glucose meter with Taiwan-based Altek Corporation and China-based Altek (Kunshan) Co., Ltd.
The Freshfields team advising mainly on questions relating to intellectual property (IP), product liability and supply chain security, as well as enforceability of the agreement in Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China (PRC), was led by Frankfurt IP/IT partner Torsten Schreier and Hong Kong IP/IT partner Connie Carnabuci.
They were supported by IP/IT counsel Richard Bird (Hong Kong) and IP/IT associate Michael Leicht (Frankfurt). The Freshfields team worked closely with Roche’s in-house team, led by Head of Legal Diabetes Care Edwin Sonnenschein und Senior Legal Counsel Matthias Mock.
