King & Wood Mallesons has advised US private equity sponsor KKR on the block trade sale of its funds’ interest in Seven West Media (Seven), Australia’s largest multi-platform media business, to a large number of investors.
The King & Wood Mallesons team was led by M&A partners Mark McNamara and David Friedlander, who were supported by senior associate Piny Ly and solicitor Sam Cook.
The divestment is the latest deal on which King & Wood Mallesons’ market-leading private equity and capital markets team has acted. Last week, King & Wood Mallesons led the biggest private equity float of the year, acting on the launch of Virtus Health’s $339 million IPO.
