Orrick Advises SCB on Complex Asian Acquisition Financing

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has advised Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) in connection with a major financing and the acquisition by Ascendas China Commercial Fund of Cross Tower, a major commercial real estate asset in the central business district of Shanghai, the People’s Republic of China.

Orrick’s Asia Finance team, led by partner Michelle Taylor, included Hong Kong financial markets of counsel Donna Healy.

“We were very pleased to advise our long-standing client SCB and their Singapore-based team on such a successful cross-border financing,” said Michelle. “With the breadth and depth of our finance experience in Asia, our team is well positioned to advise on a wide-range of complex secured structured financings, and we worked closely with both SCB and the Ascendas teams to achieve a smooth and timely completion of the acquisition.”
