Shearman & Sterling Advises Kirayaka Bank and The Sendai Bank in Proposed Business Integration of the Two Banks

Shearman & Sterling advised Kirayaka Bank, Ltd. and The Sendai Bank, Ltd. in connection with their proposed business integration of the two banks via the establishment of a new holding company by means of a share transfer.

Kirayaka Bank and Sendai Bank are regional commercial banks, both headquartered in the northeastern region of Japan. Kirayaka Bank is publicly listed and has a market capitalization of approximately US$116 million. Sendai Bank is a privately held company.
