Hogan Lovells advised the shareholders of VKO Group (“VKO”), the multi destination tour operator and travel agent, on the disposal of its remaining 25% of shares to TUI Russia & CIS, a joint venture between the world’s leading international leisure travel group TUI Travel PLC and a Russian private equity and venture capital management company S-Group Capital Management. The deal completed on 4 April 2011.
The Hogan Lovells Moscow team was led by Richard Cowie, Partner, assisted by Eugenia Ivanyuk, Associate.
In 2009 Hogan Lovells advised the shareholders of VKO on the disposal of their controlling 75% stake to TUI Russia & CIS and launching a joint venture between the shareholders of VKO and TUI Russia & CIS.
TUI Russia & CIS is a joint venture between TUI Travel PLC – the world’s leading international leisure travel group – and Russian investment company S-Group Capital Management. TUI Russia & CIS was launched in April 15, 2009.
