The event, a black tie affair, is in its 10th year and is considered by many to be the “night of the year” for Hong Kong’s legal and finance leaders. The 2011 ALB Hong Kong Law Awards were held on September 15, 2011.
Key awards are as follows:
- The highly coveted Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year award went to Linklaters.
- Mayer Brown JSM took home the most individual trophies – four in the categories of Employment Law Firm of the Year, Insolvency and Restructuring Law Firm of the Year, Insurance Law Firm of the Year, and Real Estate Law Firm of the Year.
- Debt Market Deal of the Year was the McDonalds Corporation RMB Bond Offering, which featured Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton; Deacons; and Simmons & Simmons as well as Standard Chartered Bank.
