Antitrust Lawyer Joins Clifford Chance’s Asia Pacific Practice

Angie Ng has joined Clifford Chance’s Asia Pacific Antitrust practice as a senior associate based out of the Hong Kong office.

Angie specialises in antitrust law and has advised on antitrust issues relating to mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in China, and compliance matters involving China’s Anti-monopoly Law (AML).  Angie was also heavily involved in the drafting and design of the proposed competition law for Hong Kong.  She has also advised on Australian antitrust issues including merger control and cartels.

Her arrival follows that of senior competition litigator Stephen Crosswell as a consultant in the Hong Kong office.

“We continue to see a lot of M&A activity in the region and navigating through the evolving antitrust regimes in Asia Pacific is a major challenge for investors,” said Roger Denny, Clifford Chance’s Head of M&A, Asia Pacific. “The demand for antitrust expertise is greater than ever and we see the expansion of our regional antitrust team as a strategic move in complementing our corporate practice.”

“Angie has solid experience in dealing with antitrust matters in China, Hong Kong and Australia. The combination of her knowledge of jurisdictional competition laws and practical experience makes her a valuable addition to our team,” said Ninette Dodoo, Head of the Antitrust practice for Greater China.
