Blank Rome is pleased to announce that Kristi L. Swartz has joined Blank Rome Solicitors in Hong Kong as Partner. Ms. Swartz will be affiliated with the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity, and the Public Companies and Capital Formation, groups. Ms. Swartz has practiced law in Hong Kong for more than 15 years and has significant experience in PRC business transactions.

She is a great addition to our growing Asia practice and further enhances our expanding international platform.”
Ms. Swartz joins Blank Rome from Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, where she served as Managing Partner of their Hong Kong office. She concentrates her practice in the area of corporate law with a focus on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission licensing and enforcement, and strategic alliances. Ms. Swartz represents clients in a variety of industries, including finance, manufacturing, venture capital and telecommunications, and has advised companies and individuals based around the globe. Between 2002-2005, Ms. Swartz served as in-house counsel for Henderson (China), then part of the Henderson Group, one of Hong Kong’s largest companies, and later founded and acted as principal at a Hong Kong-based independent law firm, Swartz Solicitors. Ms. Swartz has served as a member of the board of directors of several listed companies, and is a member of the Law Societies in Hong Kong, England and Wales.

Ms. Swartz received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas, a master of science in business administration degree from the University of Central Texas, and a master of laws degree from the University of Hong Kong. She is a licensed professional counselor from the College of Law and completed the common professional examination at the University of Westminster.
