Clifford Chance’s Corporate China Funds and Investment Team Bolstered with Partner Hire

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance today announces the addition of Ying White to its Beijing office as a partner in the Corporate practice. She will focus on both onshore and offshore funds formation for private equity and hedge funds, RMB funds, and offshore investments by Chinese institutions.

The addition of Ying will not only help the firm maintain its leadership position in this sector, but will also strengthen our capability to meet the ever-increasing demand in China for expertise in this area.”

Previously, Ying had been a partner and head of the Investment and Funds Practice at a US law firm in Beijing since 2007. She also served as Counsel, Finance in the Legal Vice Presidency of the World Bank for approximately seven years. She obtained her LLM in 1998 from Columbia University School of Law where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She was born in China and graduated from Peking University in 1992. She received her JD from Stetson University College of Law in Florida, magna cum laude in 1997, graduating first in her class.
