December Hong Kong Legal Job Move Summary

The Hong Kong attorney job market continued along at a steady pace in the month of December.  There were several major partner hires in the city.  Here are a few of the highlights:

Richard Wilmot was recruited by Watson, Farley & Williams in the city.  The partner brings a team of three associates, Noelle Doo, Josephine Chan, and Andrew Carpenter.  The group focuses its practice on commodities and regulatory transactions, with additional focus on dispute resolution.

Martin Rogers and James Wadham joined Davis Polk to develop its Hong Kong litigation practice.  The pair join from Clifford Chance where they have a long history in Asia dispute resolution and litigation.

Simmons & Simmons hired Jay Lee for its financial markets practice group.  The partner joins from Standard Chartered Bank and has extensive experience in debt capital markets.
