International law firm Eversheds, in association with Mohammad Al Dhabaan has appointed leading corporate lawyer, Muhammad Arif Saeed, as a Partner in its Saudi Arabia office.

Muhammad joins the firm from Al Tamimi & Company where he was a Partner responsible for Corporate & Commercial practice for over four years. His expertise extends to advising both local and international clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including commercial contracts, joint ventures, M&A, capital markets, private equity, foreign investments laws and the setting up of companies.

Muhammad has a wealth of experience in advising clients on company law and partnership matters. He has previously acted as counsel to the Lahore Stock Exchange and Islamabad Stock Exchange in Pakistan, advising them on all regulatory matters.

Before joining Al Tamimi & Company in January 2008, Muhammad was a partner at Hassan & Hassan (Advocates), a leading corporate law firm in Pakistan, which he was associated with for over 10 years.

Muhammad commented:
“Eversheds has a fantastic presence across the Middle East and I relish the opportunities which its strong foothold in the region presents. Recent data has indicated that the value of mergers and acquisitions deals in the region has increased 50% in the first quarter of the year from the same period last year and the firm is well positioned to capitalise on the expanding growth in the market.”

Chris Jobson, Eversheds Middle East Managing Partner added:
“Muhammad is a first class lawyer who will help bolster our corporate expertise. His appointment follows swiftly on from that of energy and infrastructure specialist Tim Armsby earlier this year, as we continue to grow and cement our presence in the Middle East.”
