Eversheds Hires Distinguished Asia Construction and Infrastructure Head

International law firm Eversheds has appointed one of the world’s leading arbitration and construction lawyers, Iain Black as a Partner and Head of Asia Construction and Infrastructure practice in its Singapore office.

Iain was a Partner in Masons London office from 1983 to 1989, Senior Partner of Masons Hong Kong office from 1989 to 1996, the founding Partner and resident Senior Partner of Masons Singapore office between 1997 – 1999. He later returned to Masons UK before joining Davies Arnold Cooper as a partner.

Iain has an outstanding reputation as a leading arbitration and construction lawyer, having been senior resident Partner in Masons from 1989 to 1996 (Hong Kong). He has been extensively involved in litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediations not only in Singapore, but also in Europe, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Sudan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia.

Iain was involved in most of the leading infrastructure projects in Asia from 1989 to 1996 during his tenure as senior resident Partner of Masons’ offices there. Since returning to the UK, he has developed his contacts in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean whilst continuing to work for a number of Far Eastern clients such as Petronas of Malaysia.
