Bill and Michael join the firm from Hynes Lawyers, and will be located in HWL Ebsworth’s Brisbane office.
Bill specialises in IT law and IP protection, with professional qualifications as both a practising lawyer and IT professional, independently validated by the Australian Computer Society.
Bill’s core practice focuses on information and communications technology procurement, IP protection, internet, privacy and e-business. Bill’s depth of experience includes advising both public and private sector organisations in relation to IT and cloud procurement, data security and privacy compliance and internet transaction issues.
Michael Boughey is an IP, communications and technology lawyer and has 20 years of combined experience in commercial law firms and Crown Law in Queensland.
Michael’s work within government includes landmark ICT and IP projects in Queensland. His extensive experience at Crown Law means he is one of Queensland’s most experienced practitioners in government IT and GITC contracting and the Queensland Government Chief Procurement Office standard terms and conditions for procurement of goods and services.
