O’Melveny & Myers LLP announced today that Wenseng “Wendy” Pan has joined the Firm as a counsel in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Pan will reside in the Shanghai office and focus on technology-based transactions and mergers and acquisitions. She will work closely with the Firm’s intellectual property and life science practices globally, advising clients on technology licensing and strategic partnership transactions, especially in a cross-border setting.
“Wendy’s skill set is a huge boost to our very active China healthcare and life sciences practice,” said Li Qiang, a partner in O’Melveny’s Shanghai office and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. “Also, with more than 12 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, IP licensing transactions, and a deep knowledge about the life sciences industry, she will be a valuable asset to both our US and Asia clients in complex cross-border transactions.”
Pan has represented global pharmaceutical players, biotech companies, and medical device makers in product and technology licensing, strategic partnership and joint venture formations, as well as asset acquisitions and divestures. She also has extensive experience in both public and private mergers and acquisitions and has represented clients in the life sciences, financial, technology, and consumer products industries, among others, in completing multibillion dollar mergers and acquisitions. She is a frequent speaker on licensing and collaboration strategies and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and has been called a “deal broker” by BioWorld Today.
Pan comes to O’Melveny’s Shanghai office after practicing law in the US. She is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Massachusetts, and in the US Patent and Trademark Office.
