October Asia Legal Job Moves Summary

October saw career changes throughout Asia.  Here are some of the major stories of  note:

The Zhong Lun Law Firm hired Jason Liu in Beijing.  The partner has extensive experience in fund formation, securities, and M&A.

Also in Beijing, Linklaters announced the recruitment of Pui Hong Chik from Baker & McKenzie.  The corporate partner’s practice includes Chinese IPO’s and Hong Kong listed SOE compliance work.

Morrison & Foerster added partner Masahiro Shiga to its Tokyo office, which operates as Ito & Mitomi.  The finance partner practices in real estate, fund formation, and private equity.  He brings associates Mori Inada and Mansu Pak from Skadden.

In Taipei, Douglas Weinstein joined Jones Day’s intellectual property litigation group.  Weinstein moves from Finnegan Henderson’s Atlanta office, for whom he had previously been posted in Taipei.
