Proskauer Continues Expansion of Global Private Investment Funds Group

Global law firm Proskauer announced today that Lynn Chan has joined the firm’s Private Investment Funds group as a Consultant resident in the Hong Kong office. Coupled with the recent appointment of noted private investment funds lawyer Yong Ren as a partner in Beijing, her addition extends the firm’s international private equity platform and its footprint in Asia.

“Proskauer remains focused on building out our prominent private equity offering in the region,” said Proskauer Chairman Joseph M. Leccese. “Lynn’s extensive experience handling complex fund structuring advances our ability to serve the global needs of our clients in the investment fund sector.”

Lynn’s practice focuses primarily on the structuring and management of private investment funds, acting for both general partners and limited partners. She has advised a broad range of clients across Europe and Asia.

“Lynn’s knowledge of global fund structuring and regulatory issues will enhance our ability to counsel sponsors, managers and institutional investors in all aspects of their investment-related activities in Asia. We are delighted to have her join us,” said David W. Tegeler, Co-chair of the Global Private Investment Funds Group.

Proskauer’s Beijing and Hong Kong offices handle the full range of corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, fund structuring and management, private equity and venture capital transactions, private equity real estate, capital markets, foreign direct investments and joint ventures. Our team is comprised of practitioners with extensive and in-depth understanding of the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong and their interaction with laws of other jurisdictions.

Yuval Tal, head of Proskauer’s Hong Kong office, stated, “With Lynn’s addition we continue to execute our strategic plan to extend the capabilities of our core practice groups in Asia. Her extensive experience will complement our growing private investment funds team in both Hong Kong and Beijing. She will be a great resource for our clients in the Asia-Pacific region.”
