Team Culture Lures Commercial Disputes Partner

Law firm Lander & Rogers has announced the appointment of commercial disputes partner, Tean Kerr.

Tean, who joins the firm’s Sydney office, will further consolidate Lander & Rogers’ offering in the insolvency and commercial dispute resolution space.

Tean is an experienced commercial litigation and insolvency lawyer who advises on all aspects of commercial disputes, insolvency and corporate recovery and restructuring.
He also has extensive experience acting and advising in relation to director and officer liability and regulatory matters (including high profile investigations and prosecutions brought by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission) as well as director and shareholder disputes.

Tean originally qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Canada in 1998. He relocated to Australia in 2002 and joined Swaab Attorneys in 2007.

Tean says that while he wasn’t specifically looking to move firms, Lander & Rogers’ partnership and its firmwide support for cross referrals provided a great opportunity for him.

“I was attracted by Lander & Rogers’ collaborative and supportive working environment and I see the firm as a tremendous fit in terms of personalities, culture and opportunities” he said.

Fellow Lander & Rogers’ Commercial Disputes Partner, Craig Higginbotham, said that he is delighted that Tean has joined the firm. “Tean is a natural fit with the culture of our firm and his expertise enhances our firm’s support of our strong corporate client base in Sydney and nationally” he said.
