WFW Appoints New Partner to Bangkok Office to Establish a German Desk

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Marcus Nothhelfer as a partner in its Bangkok office.

Marcus is a German attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt) and specialist lawyer (Fachanwalt) in copyright and media law. He arrives from the Munich office of Ashurst LLP where he was head of the German IP/Commercial practice group. Marcus’ move to Thailand is specifically aimed at developing WFW’s corporate and commercial transactional practice in Bangkok with a focus on the German business community in Asia; he will also develop links with Asian investors who are interested in opportunities in Europe.

On his arrival at WFW, Marcus Nothhelfer said: “I have a long personal association with Thailand and the opportunity to combine that with WFW’s highly regarded, market leading, Bangkok practice is very exciting for me. The prospects for development of the links between Asia and Germany through this, together with a broad corporate and commercial practice, are excellent.”

Steven Burkill, partner and head of WFW Bangkok said: “The addition of Marcus to our Bangkok office will enhance our already very strong reputation in this vibrant market and add a wholly new dimension to our offering to the international business community in Thailand.”
