Middletons and Flower and Hart today announced they will merge to create a significant presence in the Brisbane legal market.
From 1 March 2012, the new Middletons Brisbane office will combine local understanding and a strong, established commitment to the business and wider communities of Queensland with the ability to draw on the resources available through a truly national footprint.
Commenting on the merger, Middletons national managing partner Nick Nichola said, “Growth in strategic markets has been a key theme at Middletons for a number of years. This piece in our domestic footprint represents our commitment to being available to support our clients in all major markets.”
In less than five years Middletons has doubled its geographic footprint in defiance of tough market conditions and declining business confidence. Middletons’ merger with Salter Power in Western Australia in 2008 has been a stellar success story, highlighting the firm’s strength in managing its growth. Middletons is equally confident that in Flower and Hart, the key attributes for a successful merger of compatible cultures, mutual commitment to quality, outstanding reputation built on highly responsive client service and quality partners and staff, have all been satisfied.
