Anderson Mori & Tomotsune is pleased to announce the opening of our Ho Chi Minh City Office (“HCMC Office”) in Vietnam this May, 2015.
Our partner, Yasufumi Miki, will head our HCMC office. Mr. Miki is well experienced with Vietnam-related transactions, having been seconded since 2012 to VILAF, a leading Vietnamese law firm. Initially, he will be assisted by one Japanese qualified lawyer and one Vietnamese lawyer, both of whom have substantial experience with investments to Asia region jurisdictions, including Vietnam.
Our HCMC office will serve both Japanese companies wishing to establish and expand their business presence in Vietnam, as well as Japanese and other foreign affiliated companies seeking local law advice on general corporate, labor and employment, and other compliance matters. Mr. Miki also has extensive banking and finance experience, and his residence in our HCMC office will deeply enhance both the quality and speed of our Southeast Asia-related legal services.
Following the opening of our HCMC Office, we will continue to work closely with top tier, full service local firms in Vietnam such as VILAF, and rely on their assistance especially for projects such as large scale M&A transactions and government licensing matters.
