PLMJ has Strengthened its International Presence with Dacheng Law Offices

The law firm PLMJ has strengthened its international presence and its position as a business partner for clients by entering into another international partnership, this time with Dacheng Law Offices, the largest and most recognised Chinese law firm.

The strategic partnership between PLMJ and Dacheng is a multilateral partnership designed to provide legal services on an exclusive basis for Portugal, Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde and reciprocally for China, Singapore and Taiwan, using local offices that are members of the PLMJ International Legal Network in each country.

The fruit of this partnership is the broadening of PLMJ International Legal Network to include the Chinese market and the establishment of a gateway for investment and for major projects by Chinese companies in other countries, namely those where the official language is Portuguese, such as Angola and Mozambique.

Manuel Santos Vitor, PLMJ Co-Managing Partner says “The association with a leading law firm like DaCheng is a very positive and interesting opportunity. There are many links between China and Portugal. Amongst these we are particularly interested in the opportunities resulting from Chinese investment in Portuguese-speaking African countries but also opportunities in South China, from Portuguese speaking investors. In both cases we want to be prepared to assure that these investors have the best legal advice, in their own language, and this can only be provided by a partnership between local firms with international experience, that share the same excellence and client focus values, such as Dacheng and PLMJ.”
