Clifford Chance Advises RBS Morgans and Petra Capital on Capital Raising by Ingenia Communities Group

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised RBS Morgans and Petra Capital in their capacity as joint lead managers on the successful A$22 million capital raising completed by Ingenia Communities Group.

Ingenia is a leading owner, operator and developer of seniors’ housing communities in Australia. Proceeds of the raising will be used to fund acquisitions of managed home estates.

Partner Lance Sacks led the Clifford Chance team advising the joint lead managers, assisted by associate Owen Thomas.

This is the third notable equity capital markets transaction on which Clifford Chance has advised in the Australian real estate sector this year, following its work for the Toga Group on Far East Orchard’s A$250 million injection to form a new hotel ownership and management joint venture, and for the Lowy Family Group on the divestment of its holding in Westfield Retail Trust by way of a A$663.7 million block trade.
