Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira advised Qatar Holding in the agreement just signed with Banco Santander by which the former will subscribe a bond issue amounting to €2.719 billion in Banco Santander Brasil.
This transaction represents 5% of the share capital of Banco Santander Brasil and implies the incorporation of Qatar Holding as a strategic partner of Grupo Santander in Brasil and in the rest of Latin America.
Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira and White & Case are the advisors to Qatar Holding in all aspects related to Spanish and English law respectively. Uría & Menéndez and Slauther and May are the advisors to Banco Santander in Spanish and English Law.
Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira corporate partners Fernando Torrente and Gerard Correig advised Qatar Holding in the corporate aspects of the agreement and on the market share issues, while partner Josep Marsal advised on the tax aspects.
