Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP advised Goldman Sachs in connection with its exercise of warrants, that were converted into a total of 15,360,715 equity shares, representing 6% of the share capital of SpiceJet Limited. SpiceJet is a New Delhi-based Indian company and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. SpiceJet is the second-largest low-cost airline in India, and now operates 21 Boeing 737 aircraft and flies to 19 destinations across India. Started in May 2005, SpiceJet was earlier known as Royal Airways, a reincarnation of ModiLuft. Its promoters include Ajay Singh, Sanjay Malhotra and the Kansagra family.
