Davis Polk Advises Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation on $2 Billion Concurrent Bond Offerings

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP advised Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in connection with its $2 billion Rule 144A/Regulation S debt offering, consisting of $1 billion of 2.15% senior bonds due 2013 and $1 billion of 3.15% senior bonds due 2015. The joint lead managers for the offering were Goldman Sachs International, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Barclays Bank PLC and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd. Nikko Cordial Securities Inc. served as international offering coordinator.
