Davis Polk Advises Valeo on Its Acquisition of Niles

Davis Polk advised Valeo in connection with Valeo’s agreement with RHJ International SA and Nissan to acquire Niles, a Japanese automotive supplier. This acquisition, valued at €320 million, will enable Valeo to strengthen its position with Japanese automakers, particularly Nissan, in Asia (Japan, China and Thailand), and become a world leader in the automotive Human Machine Interface (HMI) market.

An independent industrial group fully-focused on the design, production and sale of components, integrated systems and modules for the automotive industry, mainly for CO2 emissions reduction, Valeo ranks among the world’s top automotive suppliers.

The Davis Polk team included partners Georges Terrier, Christophe Perchet and Theodore A. Paradise and associates Nora Muller, Jérôme Sibille and Jesse Gillespie. The members of the Davis Polk team are based in the Paris and Tokyo offices.
