Davis Polk advised Warburg Pincus on its acquisition of a majority equity interest in Beijing Fanhua Datong Investment Management Co., Ltd. (Datong) from CNinsure Inc. (CNI).
CNinsure is a Nasdaq-listed insurance agency and brokerage company operating in China. Datong is primarily engaged in the distribution of life insurance products in China.

Warburg Pincus invests in a range of industries, including financial services, health care and life sciences, business services, energy, information and communication technology, media, manufacturing and real estate, and has an active portfolio of over 110 companies.
