Firm Represents Bona Film Group Limited in its US$99.8 Million Initial Public Offering of American Depositary Shares

The Firm represented Bona Film Group Limited, the largest privately owned film distributor in China, in connection with its initial public offering and listing on the NASDAQ Global Market of 11,740,000 American depositary shares, representing 5,870,000 ordinary shares.  Bona raised a total of US$99.8 million and became the first China-based film company to be publicly listed in the United States. The American depositary shares of Bona are traded on the NASDAQ Global Market under the ticker symbol “BONA”.   Bank of America Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan acted as the joint bookrunners for the offering.

In addition to its film distribution and production operations, Bona also operates movie theaters in China and a talent agency business.
