Herbert Smith Freehills Advised Underwriters on CT Environmental Group Hong Kong IPO

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised BOCI Asia Ltd. and ICBC International Securities Ltd. as underwriters on the US$64.9 million Hong Kong IPO of CT Environmental Group Ltd.

Herbert Smith Freehills represented BOCI Asia Ltd. and ICBC International Capital Ltd. as joint global coordinators and joint bookunners on the US$64.9 million initial public offering and Regulation S global offering of CT Environmental Group Ltd. (CTEG) The issuer’s shares commenced trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 25 September 2013.

CTEG, headquartered in Zengcheng city, Guangdong province in China, is a provider of one-stop centralized and customized wastewater treatment and industrial water supply services in China. The Guangzhou Xinzhou Industrial Park where the flagship project of CTEG, the Guangzhou Xinzhou Industrial Park Treatment Facility, is located is one of the leading textile and dyeing industrial parks in China in terms of wastewater treatment capacity.  CTEG has also expanded its business to providing sludge treatment services to third–party customers.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team on the deal was led by Hong Kong corporate partner Gary Lock. Hong Kong senior associate Gigi Wong and associate Jeremy Shen assisted on the advice. The U.S. securities team was led by corporate partner Kevin Roy and consultant Cindy Kao in Hong Kong, and they were supported by associate George Wu.
