Simmons & Simmons Advises Japaninvest on Two Asian Transactions

Simmons & Simmons have advised Japaninvest Group plc in relation to its alliance with Société Générale (Soc Gen).  The alliance involves arrangements which preserve Japaninvest’s editorial independence whilst allowing it to offer bundled research with Soc Gen for the North Asian stock markets.

The Simmons & Simmons team was led by corporate partner Charles Mayo, supported by associate Gemma Baddeley, financial services partner Darren Fox, and Hong Kong financial markets partner Rolfe Hayden and associate Eva Chan.

Simmons & Simmons also recently advised Japaninvest on the sale of a majority stake in its securities dealing subsidiary IND-X Securities to Leading Securities of Korea.  The sale was successfully completed and announced on 1 March 2010.
