Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in $1.25 Billion Offering of Medium-Term Notes by Nomura Holdings

Simpson Thacher recently represented the underwriters, led by Nomura Securities International, Inc., in an offering of $1.25 billion 4.125% Medium-Term Notes, Series A due 2016 of Nomura Holdings, Inc.  The offering represented the first SEC-registered medium-term notes issuance by Nomura Holdings.  The Notes are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Nomura Holdings is one of the leading financial services groups in Japan and has worldwide operations.  As of March 31, 2010, the Nomura Holdings group operated offices in over 30 countries and regions including Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Hong Kong, and had total consolidated assets of ¥32.2 trillion.
