The Hong Kong office of the Firm represented the underwriters in the US$91.7 million registered follow-on offering of 12,650,000 American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”) of Giant Interactive Group Inc. by the selling shareholder. Morgan Stanley acted as the sole global coordinator and bookrunner of the offering.
Giant Interactive Group Inc. (NYSE: GA) is a leading online game developer and operator in China in terms of market share, and focuses on massively multiplayer online role playing games.
The Simpson Thacher team for the transaction included Chris Lin and Asher Hsu (Corporate) and Robert Holo and Michael Cardella (Tax).
