The Bangkok office of Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, advised Indelor Lens (Thailand) Co Ltd, a prominent manufacturer of optical material and equipment on the sale of its lens manufacturing operations in Thailand to a US multi-national corporation based in Bangkok, Vision-Ease Lens (“VEL”). Indelor Lens (Thailand) Co Ltd is a subsidiary of the Spanish Indo Group.
VEL, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of ophthalmic lenses, purchased the 40,000 square foot plant built to European standards from Indelor to expand its ability to manufacture advanced technology and premium specialty cast resin products.
The transaction was led by Christopher Osborne, a senior lawyer in the Bangkok office´s Corporate Group. He specialises in cross-border M&A, joint ventures and regulatory compliance.
