Announcement of New Partners in Indonesia and Singapore

The member firms of Baker & McKenzie International in Indonesia and Singapore herewith announce three elections to partnership effective 1 July 2010.

Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners in Jakarta has elected Nadia Nasoetion and Ponti Partogi to the partnership.  Ms Nasoetion from the Finance & Projects practice covers a wide range of banking and finance work, loan syndication, debt restructuring, acquisition finance and project financing.  Mr Partogi from the Tax practice focuses on domestic and international tax planning relating to inbound and outbound investment, corporate and debt restructuring of multinational companies, and tax litigation services.

In Singapore, Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow promoted Timothy Cooke to the partnership.  Mr Cooke, from the Dispute Resolution practice, advises and represents clients in international arbitrations and mediations in a wide variety of commercial disputes, particularly in the areas of oil and gas, telecommunications, engineering and construction, banking and trusts.

These elections follow the recent partner additions of Emmanuel Hadjidakis from Allen & Overy, Singapore, to Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, and Mark Lim from Albar & Partners, Malaysia, to Baker & McKenzie’s member firm in Malaysia, Wong & Partners. Both lawyers joined the respective Finance & Projects practices of the two firms.

The new elections and recent lateral hires further strengthen the firms’ deep practice and sector expertise built through a long commitment to the Asia Pacific region.
