We are pleased to announce that Mr. Piyasena Perera, a US qualified lawyer with extensive experience in corporate finance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and general corporate and securities law matters has been appointed as Senior Foreign Counsel of the firm.
Mr. Perera graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 1990, and is admitted to the New York and California bars, and to the Tokyo Bar Association as a special foreign member (Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi). He has advised a broad range of corporations, investment banks, hedge funds and private equity firms on a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters in the US, throughout Asia, and Europe. Prior to joining our firm, Mr. Perera was a partner in one of the large law firms in Tokyo.
Mr. Perera will continue to contribute substantially in our service offering to our clients and in our desire to continually increase our capacity to handle complex legal projects.
