Ben McQuhae joins Jones Day’s Energy Practice in Hong Kong

Jones Day is pleased to announce that Ben McQuhae has joined the Firm as an Energy partner in its Hong Kong office. Mr. McQuhae comes to Jones Day from the Hong Kong office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., where he was a partner in that firm’s energy practice.

Mr. McQuhae has been based in Hong Kong since 2001. His practice includes the representation of international oil companies and national oil companies, as well as investment banks, private equity interests and investor groups active in the oil and gas sector. He has counseled clients in all types of energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, development projects, upstream and acquisition financing transactions.

Mr. McQuhae is a graduate of the University of Exeter and College of Law in England. Prior to moving to Asia in 2001, he worked with a large international law firm in London. Mr. McQuhae also worked on a secondment in Jakarta with an international oil company in 2007. He is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
