Clyde & Co Adds Projects and Construction Expertise in Saudi Arabia

Law firm Clyde & Co LLP is pleased to announce further growth in its construction law expertise in the Middle East with the arrival of Don Turley as a consultant, based in the Riyadh office of our associate firm in Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz A. Al-Bosaily Law Office.

Don is the former head of the construction practice of Taylor Wessing in Dubai, prior to which he held the position of senior manager within the legal department of Tatweer Dubai.

With over 30 years of major energy, infrastructure and construction projects expertise, gained in  the Gulf Region, Australia and New Zealand, Don will play a key role in the development of the regional infrastructure practice, working alongside Clyde & Co’s projects and construction teams in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha and partners Michael Grose, David McElveney and Mark Blanksby.

Commenting on his move to Clyde & Co, Don said “I am delighted to be joining the projects and construction team at Clyde & Co here in the Middle East.  The firm has a significant established presence and an excellent reputation within the region.  I am looking forward to being part of the on-going success of Abdulaziz A. Al-Bosaily law office in association with Clyde & Co LLP, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the firm continues the expansion of its office in Riyadh.”

Concerning the addition of a construction focused capability within the Riyadh office, projects and construction partner Mark Blanksby said “We are seeing a large number of our construction clients and supply chain providers exploring project opportunities in KSA.  As a senior lawyer with significant experience of construction projects internationally and across the Gulf, Don’s addition to our associated offices in Riyadh provides Clyde & Co with an exciting opportunity to work alongside our clients “on the ground” specifically on construction projects in the Kingdom – further building on the excellent reputation and team that we and Abdulaziz Albosaily have established in Riyadh”.

Clyde & Co has four Middle Eastern offices, which operate as a single unit, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE, Doha in Qatar, and an associated office in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.  The firm formalised its presence in the Middle East in 1989 after many years of client activity in the region.  Today the firm is recognised by the market as one of the major international law firms in the Middle East.
