Salans Expands Arbitration Practice in China and Hong Kong

International law firm Salans announces the appointment of a new international arbitration partner in Hong Kong. Mr Darren FitzGerald, former Head of the Asia Dispute Resolution and China Employment Groups of Bird & Bird in Hong Kong, joins Salans.

Darren has practiced in the Asia-Pacific for 15 years and has worked on some of the largest and most complex commercial disputes and regulatory matters in Hong Kong. He specializes in international arbitration and cross-border litigation, and has particular experience in Hong Kong and PRC-related disputes.

Darren is a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, panel arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission and is a panellist for the Hong Kong Office of the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre. He is included in the list of arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Commission (HKIAC) Hong Kong list of arbitrators and is a member of the Hong Kong ICC arbitration committee. Darren is an accredited mediator with the HKIAC. He is also an experienced contentious insolvency lawyer.
