Denton Wilde Sapte Middle East network continues growth with Lebanese association

Denton Wilde Sapte has expanded its Middle East office network – the most comprehensive in the region – through an association with Lebanese firm Chedid Law Offices.

“Chedid Law Offices is one of the leading firms in Lebanon and we’re very pleased to have created a partnership with them.  Beirut has a long history as one of the key finance hubs in the Middle East region and, as such, is a significant extension to our office network,” says Denton Wilde Sapte Chief Executive Howard Morris.

Chedid Law Offices was established in 1957.  The firm is made up of three partners and five lawyers and offers a full range of legal services, encompassing corporate, mergers and acquisitions, finance, real estate, litigation, employment, TMT and  tax, with an emphasis on banking, telecoms and public law.

“We see many opportunities to work with Denton Wilde Sapte’s Middle East and European offices, as well as exploring the possibilities of the firm’s extensive associations in Africa.  We are delighted to have agreed an association with the firm and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship,” says Chedid Law Offices Managing Partner Elias Chedid.

“The association will operate as a conduit for shared business development and referrals of work.  We hope to cement it further through secondments between firms,” says Denton Wilde Sapte Middle East Managing Partner Neil Cuthbert.

Denton Wilde Sapte’s Middle East network is made up of 10 offices and covers nine countries: Bahrain (opened in May 2010), Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Dubai).  With over 160 fee-earners and a presence dating back to 1964, the firm has the market’s pre-eminent Middle East footprint.
