Salans acted as legal adviser to Orient Express Bank, one of Russia’s top 10 privately owned lenders and an increasingly active banking M&A player, in connection with the acquisition of a 100% stake in CityMortgage Bank, one of the leaders in the Russian mortgage market, from Morgan Stanley. This deal was executed as part of the growth strategy of Orient Express Bank through mergers and acquisitions. The acquisition allowed Orient Express Bank to solidify its position in the Russian mortgage market.
