Clyde & Co announced today the arrival of Martin Davies as a partner, joining from Howard Kennedy where he headed the firm’s specialist International Group. Martin, who has also been the elected Chairman of global legal network LAW for a number of years, will be based London but will have a key strategic role, focusing initially on the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as North America. This brings the firm’s lateral partner hires in the last 14 months to 27.

Martin’s huge international experience, including several years in Saudi Arabia and Washington DC, working with corporates and prominent individuals will enhance the firm’s significant cross-border capability.

The firm’s Middle East practice is now better placed than ever to assist overseas companies doing business in Saudi Arabia, and Martin will be working closely with the firm’s resident Middle East and other partners to implement our strategy both regionally and globally.”
Martin has been involved in international legal work for over 25 years dealing with international trade, inward and multi-jurisdictional investment. Significantly, he has combined his corporate practice with advising business owners and company boards, royal family members, leading merchants and high net worth individuals on their international affairs. Martin is also a founding Trustee of the HRH the Duke of York’s newly established charitable foundation.
