DLA Piper has appointed Horace Lam as partner to its Intellectual Property & Technology Group in Beijing. Horace will also fulfil the role of Head of Intellectual Property, China and brings with him a team of four lawyers. Horace and his team will join DLA Piper in October.
Horace joins DLA Piper from Jones Day, also in Beijing, where he has been since 2011. Prior to Jones Day Horace was at Hogan Lovells, where he was Head of the China IP practice and Beijing Office Managing Partner.
Horace practices both contentious and non-contentious IP work and has extensive experience representing multi-national companies on all IP issues in China, developing and executing IP strategies for Asian business, including pan-Asian protection strategies, cross-border IP litigations, infringement and enforcement. Horace’s practice also includes licensing, trademarks, copyrights, patents, confidential information, trade secrets, technology and know-how transfer and design rights.
The team joining Horace are Stacy Yuan, Counsel, Associate, Alicia Ma, Associate and Helen Ding, paralegal from Jones Day and Miya Wen from Rouse.
